Yacht Spotting 2021

Here we will list some of our greatest spottings of dream vessels – hope you will enjoy them too.

SY BLUEFIN of Deventer

This is our undisputed favourite. We know the story in detail, and thank the owners for letting us in on their adventure, and in order to respect their wish not to be plastered all over social media, we publish only this one picture.

ILONDA of Lübeck

51ft ORMIDALE CLASS MOTOR-YACHT designed by John Bain and built in 1951 by Silvers of Rosneath for D F S Henderson of Houston, Renfrewshire

SY Athena of Bremen

SY Athena (ex Diana II) is also an Abeking & Rasmussen creation and they moored up in Ærøskøbing Harbour on the 7th June, the same day as AR of Hamburg. Was there a link – we don’t know. Immaculately maintained and a dream to view.

AR of Hamburg

AR of Hamburg will probably be one of the top beauties for the whole year. AR stands for Abeking & Rasmussen – Rasmussen, the one half of undoubtedly the greatest yacht designer and builder of their time, he himself being from Svendborg and having designed this beauty for his own pleasure. We spotted her anchored up directly outside Ærøskøbing Commercial harbour on June 7th.
